At Tadhana, we offer roasted whole bean coffee to give you the freshest coffee possible. Once the coffee is ground, the coffee degasses, so the best way to brew a fresh cup of coffee is to use a grinder for your whole beans. If you don’t already have a grinder, you can buy a grinder for as low as $20 upwards to $200+. We promise that this investment, whether big or small, will change the way your coffee tastes.
The most accessible and convenient way to brew a cup of coffee for most people is with a coffee machine. Again you can go low-end or high-end ($25-$350). Our standard recipe for each cup of coffee is about 10g, which is about two tablespoons of coffee, or one coffee scoop. One cup of coffee for a coffee machine is about 6 oz, so you want to use 20g, or two coffee scoops, for a full 12oz cup of coffee. Now that you have the amount of coffee figured out, just add the right amount of water depending on how much coffee you want in the chamber. For example, water for 2 cups of coffee or 4 cups of coffee. Add the coffee into the filter and you’re ready to brew. Press the start button.
For those that want to spend more time with their coffee brewing process, we’d recommend brewing our coffee through a pour over. For a full cup of coffee, we use a 1:17 ratio, which translates into 21g of coffee and 355g of water.
We really like the Kalita Wave Dripper for it's consistency, balance, and durability. If you're looking for a good recipe, we'd recommend the recipe by Michigan-based coffee roaster, Madcap Coffee.
